The Veterinary Center of Syros was founded in 2024 in Talanta Syros by Veterinarian Manolis Vorrisis. It is a purpose built / state of the art veterinary center. The philosophy of the center reflects the philosophy of its founder, which is Symbiosis. Our guests can feel safe that the health and well-being of their animals is a priority for us.
The center consists of the Veterinary Clinic of Syros and the Pet Services.
The clinic has separate reception areas and examination rooms for cats and dogs, and the visit is by appointment, except for urgent ones.
This is where our veterinarians first approach our visitors, whether it is preventive veterinary medicine or pathological cases.
The imaging laboratory includes digital X-rays, ultrasound examinations, and CT scans so that, depending on the case, we can perform the best possible imaging on the patient and approach his or her pathological condition.
The clinic has rigid and flexible endoscopes for approaching and examining body cavities. Common endoscopies are esophagoscopy, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, rhinoscopy, otoscopy, and bronchoscopy.
In the clinic's laboratory, haematological, biochemical, and hormonal tests; coagulation tests; serological tests; and cytological tests are performed so that the diagnosis of each case is not delayed.
In our aseptic surgery, a variety of surgeries are performed involving soft tissues, the musculoskeletal system (orthopaedic cases), the eye, the ears, the nasopharynx, and emergency surgeries (pyometra, caesarean section, stomach dilation and twisting, rupture of hollow organs, etc.).
For anaesthesia we use an anaesthesia machine, and monitoring the patient's vital functions with a monitor is the norm in every surgical case.
The clinic has separate hospitals for dogs and cats, an infectious disease hospital, and two intensive care units.
The care of our nurses is the care and cleanliness of our patients, the administration of their medication, and their preparation for their examinations and/or their surgery.
Dental and other oral procedures are performed in a separate area exclusively for this use. We pay special attention to the pathology of the oral cavity since its diseases cause chronic pain in animals and affect food intake and consequently the patient's nutrition.
A very special part of the complex is a dedicated secure environment. We have 9 places of 8 square meters, with indoor space and a small outdoor courtyard. In addition, the dogs that are under our responsibility are yarded daily in the larger outdoor parks.
Cats are accommodated in a separate room where there is a long-stay cage complex, with each guest cat having access to 3 spaces.

Elpida Roussou oversees the beautification department, and visits are by appointment.
We offer three basic services: grooming, hairdressing, and, while there is also the possibility of minding your pet after the work has been completed, collecting it at a time that suits you but within the clinic's hours.
In the outdoor areas of the clinic we have 2 dog parks, one for junior dogs and one for adults. The use is under the responsibility of the owner, and the rules written on their entrance must be observed.
The parks provide the opportunity for safe play and recreation, and their use is free for all residents of Syros who want to exercise their dog.
